At a Women’s Conference I helped produce, one of our speakers said something that slapped me upside the head.  She said, “I was sleepwalking through life.”  BAM – mic drop!

As someone whose dream is to lead millions to discover what they’re made for – their WHY – hearing that was a major AHA moment for me.  She perfectly described how many of us are missing out on our real purpose – our WHY.  Like sleepwalkers, we just go through the motions of life without awareness or intentionality. Some of us may even be sleep-running or sleep-sprinting through life.  Think about that.

This speaker had experienced a rough break-up. To recover and survive, she went underground (into sleep mode, if you will).  Sadly, she stayed there so long that sleep mode unconsciously became her new way of life – her new norm.  One day she woke up and realized how much time – how much of her life – had lapsed. She realized how much of her life she had wasted sleepwalking.

Some of us may not experience an actual event that puts us into sleepwalking mode.  But, the everyday busyness of life has put us on auto-pilot, another form of sleepwalking.  We’re more aware, but not in full control. Lack of drive or clarity of purpose can send us into autopilot, causing us to go underground mentally or emotionally.

Wake up friends!  You must be intentional about the direction of your life!  Don’t let any form of sleepwalking prevent you from positioning yourself to LIVE the LIFE you were designed to live!
